Version 1.6 · Effective 17 August 2026
In short
This website is an information and marketing site. Read it, use it, contact us. Do not scrape it, attack it, or copy our material. Nothing on this site is legal, regulatory or compliance advice, and nothing here promises a particular outcome in an examination. Totalis is an independent company and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Credit Union Administration. If you become a TISEA customer, a separate written agreement — not this page — governs that relationship.
The sections below set this out in full. Where this summary differs from the detail, the detail governs.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Totalis Consulting Group, Inc. (“Totalis,” “we,” “us,” “our”), a company incorporated in the United States with its principal place of business at 10732 Ellicot Way, Alpharetta, GA 30022.
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
If you are using this website on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” means that organization.
This website is intended for businesses and for people aged sixteen or over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly permit their use of it.
2. What these terms cover
These Terms govern your use of this website — the pages, text, images, downloads, forms and other material we make available here.
These Terms do not govern the TISEA service. If your organization becomes a TISEA customer, the relationship is governed by the written agreement signed between Totalis and your organization, together with any order form, statement of work or service documentation referenced in it. Where that agreement and these Terms conflict, that agreement controls in respect of the service.
Your privacy is addressed in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Where the Privacy Policy and these Terms conflict in respect of personal information, the Privacy Policy controls, and nothing in Section 13 or Section 15 limits your rights or our obligations under it.
3. Important disclaimers about our content
Read this section carefully. It matters more than any other part of these Terms.
3.1 Not advice.
The content on this website — including any description of the NCUA Information Security Examination, examination expectations, control frameworks, readiness practices, articles, guides and demonstration material — is general information only. It is not legal advice, not regulatory advice, not compliance advice, not audit advice and not accounting advice. It does not take account of the circumstances of any particular credit union. Do not act on it without obtaining professional advice appropriate to your situation.
3.2 No relationship created.
Using this website, downloading material from it, or contacting us does not create an advisory, consulting, fiduciary or professional relationship between you and Totalis.
3.3 No regulator affiliation.
Totalis is an independent private company. Totalis and TISEA are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, approved by, certified by or connected in any way to the National Credit Union Administration, to any state credit union regulator, or to any other government agency. References to the NCUA, to the Information Security Examination, or to examination procedures are descriptive references to publicly available regulatory material and do not imply any endorsement or relationship.
3.4 No outcome promised.
Nothing on this website is a representation, warranty or guarantee that using TISEA, or following anything described here, will result in a passing examination, a particular examination rating, a favorable regulatory finding, or the avoidance of any finding, penalty or enforcement action. Examination outcomes depend on the facts of your institution and the judgment of your examiner, neither of which is within our control.
3.5 Accuracy and currency.
Regulatory material changes. We take care with what we publish, but we do not warrant that content on this website is complete, current or free from error, and we are under no obligation to update it.
3.6 No offer, and no commitment to future functionality.
Descriptions of TISEA and of our services on this website are for information. They are not an offer capable of acceptance, and they do not form part of any contract unless they are written into a signed agreement between us. Features, capabilities, availability and pricing may change, and any description of planned or forthcoming functionality is a statement of current intention rather than a commitment to deliver it, on any timetable or at all. If a particular capability matters to you, raise it with us before you sign anything and we will confirm the position in writing.
3.7 Demonstration material.
Any demonstration, sample data, screenshot or worked example on this website is illustrative. It uses fictional institutions and fabricated records, does not represent any real credit union, and does not indicate the results any customer will obtain.
4. Permitted use
You may view, browse and print pages of this website, and download any material we make available for download, for your own internal business or personal reference. You may share links to this website freely.
Where we make a document available for download, you may keep and circulate it inside your own organization in the form we published it, provided you do not alter it, remove any notice from it, or present it as your own work.
5. Things you must not do
You must not:
- copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell or license material from this website beyond what Section 4 permits, or remove any copyright or proprietary notice;
- use any automated means — robot, spider, scraper, crawler or similar — to access, index, extract or collect material from this website, except that a public search engine may index it in the ordinary way;
- use material from this website to build, train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model, or to build a competing product or dataset. Totalis expressly reserves its rights against text and data mining and against automated collection for model training, and this restriction applies whether or not our robots.txt or any similar file permits automated access;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website, or to any account, system or network connected to it;
- probe, scan, penetration-test or otherwise test the security of the website, or attempt to circumvent any security or access control, except as Section 6 allows;
- interfere with the operation of the website, including by introducing malicious code or by placing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with any person or organization; or
- use the website for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that infringes the rights of others.
6. Reporting a security problem
We welcome good-faith reports of security vulnerabilities.
If you believe you have found a vulnerability in this website or in TISEA, report it to totalis.security@totalis.com with enough detail for us to reproduce it. Please give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and remediate before disclosing it publicly.
If you act in good faith, report promptly, avoid privacy violations and service disruption, and do not access, modify, destroy or exfiltrate data beyond the minimum needed to demonstrate the issue, we will not initiate or support legal action against you in respect of that research, and we will treat Section 5’s prohibition on security testing as waived for that activity.
This does not extend to denial-of-service or load testing, to social engineering of our personnel, customers or suppliers, to physical intrusion, to testing systems operated by our service providers or customers rather than by us, or to any activity that accesses another person’s data. Nor does it protect anyone who demands payment in exchange for withholding disclosure.
Authorization. Security research conducted within the limits of this section is authorized access for the purposes of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and any similar state law, and Section 14 does not apply to it.
7. Intellectual property
7.1 Our material.
This website and its contents — text, graphics, layout, design, logos, images, software and the selection and arrangement of all of it — are owned by Totalis or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Except as these Terms expressly permit, no right or license is granted to you.
7.2 Trademarks.
“Totalis,” “Totalis Consulting Group,” “TISEA,” and our logos are trademarks of Totalis Consulting Group, Inc. You may not use them without our prior written permission. Other names and marks appearing on this website belong to their respective owners, and their appearance does not imply any endorsement or relationship.
7.3 Third-party and regulatory material.
Material published by the National Credit Union Administration or other public bodies remains the property of, or in the public domain under the terms applied by, those bodies. Our descriptions, analysis, organization and presentation of such material are our own.
8. Anything you send us
8.1 Do not send us confidential material.
Do not send us confidential, proprietary or regulated information through this website or by unsolicited email. If you need to share something sensitive, contact us first and we will arrange an appropriate agreement and a secure method. Information you send us without such an arrangement is not treated as confidential, although we will still handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Where a non-disclosure or other written agreement is already in force between us, that agreement governs and this paragraph does not cut it down. This paragraph does not apply to a vulnerability report submitted under Section 6, which we will treat as confidential.
8.2 Feedback.
If you send us suggestions, ideas or feedback about our website or our services, you grant Totalis a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid, sublicensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify and exploit it for any purpose, without obligation or compensation to you. We will not identify you as the source without your permission.
8.3 Accuracy.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit to us, and you must not submit anything you do not have the right to provide.
9. Copyright complaints
If you believe material on this website infringes your copyright, write to tisea.support@totalis.com with: your contact details; identification of the work you say is infringed; identification of the material on our website you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf; and your physical or electronic signature. We will investigate and respond, and we will remove or disable material where appropriate.
10. Links to other websites
This website may link to websites that we do not operate or control. We provide those links for convenience. We do not endorse those websites, we are not responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices, and your dealings with them are between you and them.
11. Availability of the website
We may change, suspend, restrict or discontinue this website or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the website will be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable to you if it is not.
Suspending or barring access. We may block, suspend or terminate your access to this website at any time, without notice and at our discretion, where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, where your use threatens the security, integrity or availability of the website, or where we are required to do so by law. Doing so does not limit any other remedy available to us.
12. No warranty
This website and all material on it are provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Totalis disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the website will meet your requirements, that it will be secure or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any defect will be corrected.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply to the fullest extent the law permits.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Totalis, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, this website — whether the claim is brought in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Totalis’s total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of this website will not exceed one hundred United States dollars (US$100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; where that is the case, the limitations above apply to the fullest extent the law permits.
This section does not apply to the TISEA service. Liability in respect of the service is governed by the written agreement between Totalis and the customer.
This section does not limit our privacy obligations. Nothing in this section limits or excludes any liability Totalis has under our Privacy Policy or under applicable privacy or data protection law. Our handling of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy, and the monetary cap above does not apply to it.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Totalis and its officers, directors, employees and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of this website, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
We will notify you of any claim for which we seek indemnity, and you may control the defense with counsel reasonably acceptable to us, provided you may not settle in a way that imposes any obligation on us without our written consent.
This section does not apply to the TISEA service. Indemnity in respect of the service is governed by the written agreement between Totalis and the customer.
15. Governing law and where disputes are heard
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your use of this website, are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
You and Totalis agree that any such dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
You agree to bring any claim in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
Time limit for claims. Any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of this website must be filed within one year after the claim arose. A claim filed after that period is permanently barred, to the extent applicable law allows a contractual limitation period.
Jury trial. To the extent permitted by law, you and Totalis each waive any right to a trial by jury in any proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of this website.
16. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page, and where a change is significant we will give more prominent notice. Your continued use of the website after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
17. General
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Totalis in respect of this website, and supersede any prior understanding about it.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Survival. Sections 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 17 (and any right or obligation that by its nature should continue) survive any termination of your use of this website.
No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms are between you and Totalis. No other person has any right to enforce any of their provisions.
Electronic communications. When you use this website or write to us, you are communicating with us electronically, and you consent to receive communications from us electronically. Any notice we give electronically satisfies any legal requirement that it be in writing.
Headings. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
18. Accessibility
We want this website to be usable by everyone. If you use assistive technology and encounter a barrier on this website, or if you need these Terms in an alternative format, write to tisea.support@totalis.com and we will help and work to address the problem.
